What We Can Build For You

From single prototype to multi-year production contracts — Precision Manufacturing delivers turnkey precision manufacturing with design support, full documentation, and the quality your industry demands.

Project Types We Handle

Whether you have full drawings or just an idea — we have a path forward

Prototype Development

Need one or ten parts to prove out a design? We specialize in fast-turn prototype machining from your 3D models or 2D drawings. Our engineering team provides DFM feedback to help optimize your design for production before you commit to tooling.

  • 1–10 piece prototype runs
  • 1–2 week typical lead time
  • DFM feedback included
  • Direct engineer-to-engineer collaboration

Production Runs

High-mix, low-to-medium volume production is our core strength. We set up efficient machining programs, maintain fixture libraries, and manage repeat production to hold consistent quality across every order.

  • 10–10,000+ piece runs
  • Fixture and tooling retained for repeat orders
  • Statistical process control (SPC)
  • Blanket order / scheduled release capability

MRO & Replacement Parts

When OEM parts are discontinued, lead times are months long, or prices have become unreasonable — D&J can reverse-engineer and manufacture replacement parts from samples or worn components. We measure, model, and produce.

  • Reverse engineering from physical samples
  • CMM measurement and CAD model creation
  • Approval drawing provided before production
  • Emergency / expedited service available

Turnkey Project Capability

One source. Full accountability. From raw stock to ready-to-install.

Why Turnkey Manufacturing Matters

Managing three separate shops for machining, plating, and assembly adds coordination overhead, quality handoff risk, and multiple purchase orders to track. Precision Manufacturing handles the entire manufacturing scope under one quality system — so you receive a single part number or assembly that's complete, documented, and ready for your next operation.

Our turnkey approach covers:

  • Material procurement and incoming inspection
  • CNC machining, turning, and fabrication
  • In-house electroless nickel plating
  • Coordinated heat treating and surface finishing (via approved suppliers)
  • Sub-assembly and mechanical assembly
  • Final inspection and documentation package
  • Packaged and labeled delivery to your facility

Turnkey Project Checklist

What to share when requesting a turnkey quote:

  • Assembly or component drawings (STEP, IGES, PDF)
  • Bill of Materials (BOM) for assemblies
  • Material specifications and finish requirements
  • Required certifications (FAI, CoC, material certs)
  • Annual volume estimate and release schedule
  • Delivery point and packaging requirements
  • Any customer-specific quality flow-down requirements

How a Custom Project Works

A clear, predictable process from first contact to delivery

1

Submit Your Drawings or Concept

Send us your STEP, IGES, PDF drawings — or describe what you need. We accept partial specs and can work with you to define the full scope. No drawing is too complex, and no project is too early-stage to discuss.

2

Technical Review & DFM Feedback

Our engineers review your design for manufacturability. We'll flag anything that could increase cost, risk quality, or impact lead time — and suggest alternatives. This step is included in every quote at no charge.

3

Detailed Quote with Lead Time

You receive a complete quote covering material, machining, finishing, assembly, and documentation. Lead time is clearly stated. No surprises at delivery.

4

First Article Inspection (for production orders)

Before releasing a production run, we produce and fully inspect a first article. You receive the FAI documentation package — and nothing ships until you approve. For AS9100 programs, AS9102 FAI reports are available.

5

Production & In-Process Inspection

Parts are manufactured per your approved drawing, with in-process inspections and SPC on critical features. Non-conformances are documented and dispositioned under our corrective action process — nothing gets swept under the rug.

6

Delivery with Full Documentation

Parts are packaged, labeled, and shipped with your documentation package: Certificate of Conformance, material certs, inspection reports, and any customer-specified paperwork. On time, as quoted.

Getting Started Is Easy

We work from whatever you have

3D CAD Files

STEP, IGES, Parasolid, SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA. We prefer STEP for universal compatibility. 3D models allow us to program CNC paths directly and identify complex features early.

2D Drawings & PDFs

DWG, DXF, PDF drawings with dimensions and GD&T callouts. If your drawing has all the information needed to manufacture and inspect, we can quote from it directly.

Physical Samples

No drawing? Send us a sample part. We'll use CMM inspection to capture dimensions, create a working drawing for your approval, and quote from that. Ideal for MRO and reverse engineering work.
